2001 Citroen C5 HDi review from UK and Ireland
"A useful business tool spoiled by the inability of the dealer to resolve my problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The electrical contacts have corroded.
The fuel consumption is twenty five percent worse than is quoted in the sales literature. This is despite the dealer having had the car back for three days to sort the problem out.
The brakes squeal. I am advised by the dealer that this is a common problem with this model.
The rear wash wipe dribbles water most of the time.
The temperature sensor has had to be replaced.
General comments?
The Peugeot Citroen HDi engine has a good reputation, so much so that I chose to buy this car rather than another Passat. I do over 30,000 miles each year, and the failure by Citroen to solve the fuel consumption problem will cost me very dearly.
Can anyone advise me what legal action I can take against Citroen or the dealership?
