No faults so far.
I found this website after I had placed my order at the local dealership, and a few of the comments made me think seriously about canceling.
This model was one of the VAT cash back special offers and there were several specifications and colours to choose from.
With a degree of nervousness I collected the car from the dealer, there it was resplendent and glistening and after the first few miles I new I was going to like this one, even with the engine off the speedometer moves every once in a while - this car has a heart.
I expected more from the adustable suspension, but in sports mode the car is really firm around corners, with a cross wind you can feel it move, but so did my Mondeo, sport mode eases this.
Current mpg is 42 on steady motorway runs with small amount of urban driving each way.
My suspension seems fine, but as a previous reviewer noted the xenon lamps do not seem to give enough spread, although I have never owned a car with them before.
The audio system is well layed out, but compared to other manufacturers does not have a system with an appropriate wattage.
The only true item of disappointment was once of my own choice, I was offered a paint protection product at additional cost as other manufacturers also offer, I am reliably informed by a Ford employee that the product worth is only £15-20 and is an incentive sale for the salesperson. There are many other similar products at any motor care shop - resist or spend £200 or more as the dealership can try for.
I too purchased my car a C5 110 HDi SX after a national promotion with no VAT and zero finance over 3 years and to this extent is exceptionally excellent value with a lot of car for the money. It is the first Citroen I have owned and also the first diesal car. Fuel economy averages 48 MPG and long journey's 52 at 70 MPH, not too bad. My only criticism of the car is its suspension which I thought should give a smooth ride, but is rather choppy, a fact confirmed by a national car magazine. In view of this I took it to my local dealer who said there was no fault and they're all like that, however a car magazine editor took it for a drive and told me to take it back to the dealer who has since changed the rear spheres and subsequently the whole rear axle with little improvement. a third dealer has recently said they're all like that and it's not faulty. Another thing I have noticed is the suspension goes up and down on it's own when you switch off the ignition, but I'm not sure whether it's supposed to do that as it has so many computers.
