Broken timing belt 80,000 miles.
Bits of interior trim falling off regularly.
Paint flaked off door handles.
Heater broke down.
Suspension arm broke.
A good concept for a car, but very poorly executed.
Very poor quality.
Heavy and sluggish.
With this motor the timing belt should have been changed within 55k miles. In a diesel automobile a timing belt breaking means about 80 % of probability of complete motor loss.
If it's a HDi, the timing belt should be replaced by 75000 miles, not later.
Not bad going at all considering the reputation of the company.
