2003 Citroen C8 SLX review from UK and Ireland
"Not value for money, too many faults"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Automatic gearbox failed day three.
Electric windows and locks had a control all of their own, quite often when returning to the car it would be unlocked.
Sun roof would often get stuck open, normally as it started to rain.
Screen wash leaked out of the rear stereo speakers
Engine developed a fault which allowed maximum speeds of 10MPH.
Airbag fault was intermittent.
General comments?
I purchased a MPV because of the size of my family. Dealers, when loaning courtesy cars need to consider what car is being serviced or repaired. A 2 seater saxo is not great customer service when you have a C8!
The local dealer was extremely helpful, the car being relatively new to the market place has many more faults than I would expect and it would seem that we were not alone with these faults when searching the Internet now. Many reviews read very familiar.
The car is comfortable at speed, not so around town.
Pleased to say we now have a Grand Voyager.. take note Citroen.
