2004 Citroen Picasso HDi Exclusive review from UK and Ireland
"Reasonable car, spoiled by technical issues"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Car has been fitted with numerous turbochargers following engine fault indication on dashboard. Since new the manufacturer has been unable to rectify this recurring fault.
Car fitted with replacement turbocharger boost pressure sensors.
Dashboard speedometer (digital) no longer readable.
Excessive vibration from the engine at idle revs, despite all compression pressures being correct. This fault actually makes the car bounce on its suspension.
Areas of the car (supposedly chrome) are covered in surface rust.
Car required a new clutch at 30,000 miles.
General comments?
Recurring turbocharger faults could not be corrected during warranty period. Manufacturer will no longer investigate this problem.
