Front Brakes continuously squeaks.
Engines dips in power.
Front electric window makes a drilling sound.
Paint runs on bodywork.
I decided to pay a little bit extra to get the extra economy and performance (110bhp).
To cut a long story short, the car has been back to the dealer more times than I've had it.
Eg. The car was booked in for the sixth time for the same (turbo) problem, it was also booked in for a brake problem. When I went to pick it up (they had the car for over 9 hours)
they said, that it needed a new part - I had just been waiting 4 weeks for the said part anyway. Then they said that they didn't have time to do the brake problem, however they did find time to wash and polish the car.
OK, that sounds more like a dealer problem than a car problem, but belive me the car creates new problems every week.
- Never again.
Did you get the 'Vendredi' built one?
Citroen are cheap, but perhaps you get what you pay for.
I'll stick to VW, my 20 yr old van is trundling along!
I have now had 3 BX's, 3Xantia's, and now 3 Piacasso's the BEST CAR YET. Tows like a dream with fuel over 40 mpg general mpg average over 45 mpg. Faults always fixed by garage immediately.
Value for money great, 2000 Hdi comfort the best Citroen yet.
This story sounds much the same as my own. The dealership where we live is the worst I have ever experienced for poor after sales service. Had we had better service and speedy repairs, we may have changed it for another Citroen. Doubt very much we will ever buy Citroen again.
