1997 Citroen Xantia SX Desire review from UK and Ireland
"A luxury bargain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No problems up to now, but I have heard of some problems with the poorly designed clutch cable clip. Maybe someone ought to invent a metal conversion so this fault can be rectified!
The air conditioning needs regassing, but that can happen to any car.
General comments?
I'm very pleased so far, it starts at the turn of the key and has been OK up to now, it's probably too early to tell what it will be like a couple of years down the road.
It handles well enough so long as you're not Michael Schumacher.
I think the styling is OK the interior on my car is very nice, the back end is a bit bland, maybe a spoiler would make it look a little more interesting.
Having read some of the reports on this site from other owners, it seems as though older cars suffer more with faults, I suspect this is down to age and lack of some servicing.
