1994 Citroen Xantia LX review from UK and Ireland
"Definitely worth a drive, as history will prove"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1) the spheres needed to be changed.
2) the exhaust needed to be changed.
3) the gearbox needed to be changed.
Previous work carried out on car: 50,000
a overhaul of the cooling system.
General comments?
I had left the car lying up for over a year, and with a charged battery it started the first time. no problems. very reliable.
No poke, but what did you expect.
Excellent for long journeys, handles superbly even in the wet, where other cars would have skidded.
Only disappointing thing about interior, is the drivers seat. I found it too low, FAR too low. it took a while to get used to.
If you are getting a model, get one with ABS. No ABS = more fun, but more skidding.
Brakes do take a bit of getting used to.
It is very cheap to buy, selling them is hard.
Annoying to wait for suspension each time, before taking off. it takes approx 45 seconds.
Brilliant to change the height while at lights and freaking people out.
Doing so while driving is danagerous, as brakes need to be pumped.
