Front disks @ 1 year.
Occasional random dashboard indicators.
Rear suspension @ 2 years.
Creaking clutch cable.
Creaking seat.
Front windscreen wipers park incorrectly.
Occasional blue smoke from the exhaust.. (sticking valve stem seal?)
Very disappointing car.
Poor fuel consumption (petrol).
Unreliable. Fails to instill confidence. The least reliable car I've ever had... even a Morris Marina was more reliable.
Desperate depreciation.
The dealer seems unable to fix intermittent faults.
Front disks @ 1 year - something that is replaced on all cars after a while, they are used after all.
Rear suspension @ 2 years - that's about normal and nothing to badly rate the xantia.
Creaking clutch cable - needs some lubrication and will be fine!
Creaking seat - too much body weight?
Suggestion! buy a car that you have some information about instead of bad mouthing it with faults which aren't faults and normal things that happen to cars... dissapointing opinion!
To the previous poster, I've read your 8 or 9 comments on various Xantias, and whilst I do think you have a point, I do think you need to be a little less defensive lol! You appeared extremely defensive and abrupt when anyone said anything even remotely disparaging about their cars. Just keep calm hehe.
P.S - I've got a ZX TD and really like it.
