1996 Citroen Xantia review from UK and Ireland
"Love every minute I'm behind the wheel!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch snapped twice within a three week period.
Suspension doesn't always work straightaway and at times I've had to wait a few minutes with the engine running on idle, before driving off.
General comments?
This is the most comfortable car I have driven, which includes many brand new hire cars over the last couple of years.
Although I don't think this is a very good looking car, its sheer comfort makes up for the lack of looks.
This is the first diesel I have owned and to tell the truth, I haven't seen any real improvement in fuel consumption to petrol motors that I have driven. Maybe this is due to the size of the motor, or it may be just unique to my car.
The car should raise up front and back once started. You need to wait for the back end to raise up, if you don't, the brakes do not work correctly.
