Drivers side window regulator.
Fan belt adjuster failed.
A big improvement over the phase 1 smooth comfortable and cheap to run.
All of the 2.5 tds are manuals others may be autos but steer clear as they fail £2k to fix.On the other hand if the clutch fails or wears out it's the same price as it's engine out time. For a big car the handling is very good, especialy if you renew the spheres.Unlike earlier Citroens these wont rot as they were heavily galvanised.I paid £1500 for this model which was nearly £30,000 when new!
Just a note on the body. The car can suffer rot despite being galvanised. Places to check are around the rear suspension where it is bolted to the subframe and around the jacking points where hamfisted attempts to raise the car may have split welds and allowed water to enter and affect the floor. This apart, Citroen know how to make engines and gearboxes if not electrics! Diesels will be reliable and economical, Petrols less so, but with proper maintenence will get well over 150k. Suspension gets a lot of bad press, again, with good maintenence; fluid changes and spheres where necessary, it will be reliable and useable. Find a Citroen friendly garage and enjoy the ride!
I have a 1995 2.0 petrol which has corrosion on the front subframe, near the front wheel. It is not serious, but like the author of the review, I was under the impression that the body was fully galvanised.
