1995 Citroen XM VSX review from UK and Ireland
"I would like another one, with low mileage"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gear linkage fractured @ 80,000 miles
Head Gasket @ 180,000 miles
LED displays partially failed around 60,000 miles
electrical faults around 200,000 miles
Rear nearside electric window open switch failed
Sun roof tilt switch failed
heater blower motor failed
Boot lock solenoid failed @ 190,000 miles.
Electric window winders all failed between 150,000 and 190,00 miles.
Suspension units changed around 170,000 miles.
General comments?
This is my second XM and the combined mileage covered by both cars in in the order of 300,000 miles.
A full tank of fuel will take me over 900 miles before refilling (around 50/55mpg)
Very comfortable and economical - Colchester to Avemore with out refueling and only one comfort break.
