1993 Citroen ZX Aura review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap Car, superb handling"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
As yet nothing has needed replacing, except the cambelt and a couple of tyres.
Slight squeak from rear suspension evident on cold mornings.
Exhaust makes large noise when accelerating up to motorway speeds, but is fine once cruising.
General comments?
There are very few cars which are so affordable to buy and to insure that also handle so well.
The car has plenty of body roll (but no more than other small hatchbacks) but grips like a terrier in bends. In the dry you would have to seriously abuse the car to provoke a slide.
Mild understeer in the wet, the rear wheels always stay true thanks to them moving inline with the fronts.
Would recommend sticking to Michelin tyres as their performance is easily worth the extra over cheaper equivalents.
