Nothing has gone wrong when I drove it.
I have rented this vehicle for almost two months while I visited Romania. I do not have much experience with Romanian cars, but I've driven and owned many North American cars. Before choosing this vehicle I was advised by some of the locals not to get a Solenza.
Eventually I did and I was not disapointed. Performance and handling are satisfactory, but I've noticed that fuel consumption increases dramatically when vehicle is driven at speeds over 125km/h. But that is my fault, because it is not meant to be driven that fast, specially not on Romanian roads.
I was surprised to find that this model was equipped with air conditioning, CD Player, power front windows and power locks. No cruise control.
In terms of refinement and quality, this vehicle is somewhat below western standards (not a Lincoln!), but the price is definetely an incentive.
Compared to older model Dacias this is
this is a giant step forward.
Hi, to everyone that may read this message. I"m a romanian, and I've lived in Canada for 12 years now. I know Dacia came to Canada the first time in 1992 in Montreal.
At the time it wasn"t fit for the North American market; it had low standards, but I think now it has a much better chance for this market. And not to forget how many romanians live in North America, and Europeans, that will want to buy it, and drive it on North American roads. I will buy one myself.
Thank you.
