1994 Daewoo Espero DOHC review from Singapore
"Value for money, roomy car for my family and work needs"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Steel water pipe under the engine block, unable to see first sign of wear and tear.
Rubber host around the engine needs to be observed and inspected, tends to need changing at 6 years old.
Front suspension stud got replaced recently, due to fast and heavy usage of the car.
Require careful observation and listening to the car for any indication of wear and tear, not for the first year and timid car owners. A little technical knowledge about the mechanics of cars will make you appreciate this model and make.
Air-con compressor got replaced twice in 6 months.
Doing 13km/litre of petrol, highway and city driving combination.
General comments?
Good performance for the money you pay.
Interior fittings are value for money among cars of the same year and category.
Very generous and spacious car, even a huge size European can fit in well and comfortable.
Super boot space.
Handles well with 195/55R15 performance tires, takes corners and pickups well, and outperforms many new model of 2 litre cars in 4th gear at 3000+ RPM.
