2000 Daewoo Lanos review from North America
"A reliable low cost automobile when cared for correctly"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Spark plug wires over heated, dried and lost vitality. Thicker performance wires (9mm Kevlar silicon) restored like new performance.
Vent switch broke.
General comments?
I have enjoyed driving Daewoo's since 1998, when I first saw the cars in Italy.
I have been fortunate: I had two really great dealerships that tended to the maintenance of the car.
The key to the car is good, routine maintenance.
I routinely get 30 miles to the gallon with this car on the highway.
