2001 Daewoo Lanos review from North America
"When they promised Sushi, I got fried rice"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I went through 5 rims since I bought it - on the same tire.
My wiring on the headlights were faulty, twice. I had to replace several sets of lamps.
It wouldn't start in the heat nor the cold.
It would stall everytime it was moist, damp, or rainy.
The car would buck at stoplights.
My timing belt went at 72,000 miles, and bent my valves. Now the engine is dead.
General comments?
I still owe 8,660.01 on this car, and I already paid 16,000. My intrest rate is very high, and the dealership nor the finance company will lower it for me. So I got screwed. I will be paying for the next 2 years for a car I will not be able to drive. My extended warranty won't even help. Now Daewoo is selling cars under the Suzuki name - such as the Verona. Be careful!!! Anyone who has any info or tips for me to get help email me...hrussinko@hotmail.com.
