1999 Daewoo Matiz Friend review from Poland
"Cheap and Junkie, not even Economical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Plastic door handle in back broken
Battery Broken
Wheel caps (all) cracked and one fell off
Muffler problems
Front bumper falling off
Rear left light bulb constantly needs to be replaced
cloth tearing off front seats
dashboard plastic peeling off.
General comments?
This car is Cheap Junk. My second car, Kia Picanto, is much better, but since the Daewoo's poor performance I am starting to lose interest in Korean Cars. My friend had a Daewoo Nubira, and he sold it after 3 months. I also sold my Matiz at 210% less than I had bought it in 2000.I now bought a Skoda Superb and I am very happy with it. Daewoo stopped prodcution in Poland, I guess now that Poland is growing people can afford better cars.
I will also add that the size plus the quality makes it scary to drive even in the city. A big accident would be scary in a Matiz!
