2000 Daewoo Nubira SE Estate review from UK and Ireland

My car was listed as a safety recall for front brake hose, bearing in mind this car is not yet 3 years old.

The silver trim on the door opening handles is peeling off.

This car is thirsty work with regards to petrol use, I get around 25 MPG per gallon.

Just had its first MOT both front suspensions wishbone joints have needed replacement. £400.

Front and back right side tires have been relaced twice in one year.(£200)

Indicator bulbs needed replacement. I was quoted £25 for the work, Carried out the work to a cost of £3.70.

When I got the car back the AA checked it over because of a "rattling noise",

turns out that the nuts and bolts on the wishbone had not been tightened, despite going to TWO garages.

Boot lock is faulty.

Heating hose needed replacing.

I feel for a car that was not even three years old, I did not expect a major part of the car to need replacing.

The wishbone/front suspension should have lasted longer than 3 years.

£6500 for a years use.

An expensive car to keep, I dread the next MOT (If I keep the car that long).

I ran a Lada that cost £200 from an auction for four years with a service that I carried out myself and only needed brake pads renewing at every MOT.

Shame these cars were not built for British roads.

Would I buy a Daewoo again???

I DON'T think so.
