1985 Daihatsu Charade g100 review from Australia and New Zealand
"This is a fine car that deserves respect from it unsuspecting critics.inic"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Keeps blowing flange gasket.
Thin tires wear out very quickly.
Engine needed replacing after reseting thie kilometer reading 3 times equaling about 450 000 Km.
General comments?
This is a cheap car that is extremely reliable and requires minimal maintenance.
The tires are my only problem, I'm about to replace them with a set of 14" 165's, this should help with traction.
Problems happen when I drive the car to hard, it is only 1000cc and can't really handle being redlined on most gears, but she copes OK.
It is a comfortable car even though it is small.
It is fuel efficient and max speed is 150km/h @ 5300 rpm.
