"This is a fine car that deserves respect from it unsuspecting critics.inic"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Keeps blowing flange gasket.

Thin tires wear out very quickly.

Engine needed replacing after reseting thie kilometer reading 3 times equaling about 450 000 Km.

General comments?

This is a cheap car that is extremely reliable and requires minimal maintenance.

The tires are my only problem, I'm about to replace them with a set of 14" 165's, this should help with traction.

Problems happen when I drive the car to hard, it is only 1000cc and can't really handle being redlined on most gears, but she copes OK.

It is a comfortable car even though it is small.

It is fuel efficient and max speed is 150km/h @ 5300 rpm.

I was wondering what cheap performance modifications you can do to a 1985 turbo charade.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest some cheap mods to make my G11R Charade 85 model any better?

I have done or doing:

Custom exhaust 2" with twin cannon

Custom Dumpipe

Custom turbo manifold

TF035 turbo (Liberty GT Australian model stock turbo)

BOV (how big should I go)

Turbo Timer

2nd hand Intercooler.

I want a short shifter, but can't find one

I want a strut brace, but can't find one.

I own a 89 g100 ts and managed to get 160 outta the lil' puppy. So 150 is pretty average for the ol' three banger. Wouldn't do it again, but.

These 3 cylnder engines are truly indestructible you can rev them to 1300 and they just keep going don't even pay atention to the red line. Folk law said you couldn't kill it with an axe its true an absolute bullet proof little 3 banger buy one and drive it like its stolen they dont DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
