Alternator carbons wear out, I fixed them by myself.
Voltage regulator failed, I got used one for free.
Noisy at highway speeds (I improved the sound insulation myself, now it's OK).
A ery reliable car, despite the high mileage.
Good car at winter, works no matter how cold it is.
Transmission shifts smoothly.
I also own a 1985 model Charmant LC, but unfortunately a friend of mine slammed it in to the telephone pole. now the problem is I have not been able to find its hood (bonnet) and left fender... can you please check me the prices there... I'm from pakistan and I have been through all the auto spare markets, but no luck.
