1989 Daihatsu Domino l review from UK and Ireland
"Great wee car for anyone"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rust at front of wings, common I suppose.
Engine mounting forever breaking, and exhausts too.
General comments?
For a wee car, they fairly shift. I've raced 1.3sr Novas and other similar cars, and dusted them.
It's capable of carrying over a ton, as I used mine for collecting scrap metal, engine parts etc. Fold the seats down and it's almost like a wee van!!
As for handling, all I can say is go-cart similarity. I put old Mazda 626 sideskirts, an old Rover 220 spoiler, straight thru self made 4" exhaust, K&N filter, Charade steering wheel & 4 square spots on the front!! Looked, sounded & went all very well!! Everywhere I went, people loved it, a real one off.
I called mine the wee dab or bus! I wanted to put a Charade turbo engine in it, but no way it wouldd fit, must post pics sometime.
