The claim that Daihatsu was more reliable than Toyota is questionable, considering that Daihatsu was partially owned by Toyota, who has since acquired a controlling interest.
The comment you made about how you did not like the vehicle, does not make any sense if the mileage you put here is correct. You purchased the vehicle new, and put 90,000 miles on it. If I bought a vehicle with that much trouble, I would not keep it.
In fact the engine used in the Rocky is sourced and designed directly from Toyota.
