2003 Daihatsu Terios SX review from Australia and New Zealand
"An excellent young persons car, reliable, cheap to repair and a good off road vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
This car has a very good power to weight ratio.
Seating for all people apart from the driver can be cramped.
I am 6'1" tall, and I can drive the car for a day comfortably.
Due to the vehicle having a short
wheel base, it is very bouncy on uneven bitumen surfaces.
Off road test:-
I took this vehicle away for two long weekends on state forestry tracks in Queensland Australia. It provided good opportunities for hill climbing and decending on dry gravel terrain. It followed a Land-cruiser wagon and L/C ute everywhere.
The Terios ground clearance was not an issue. With only the normal high range, steady decending was easily achieved through quick brake tapping and on one hill that you couldn't walk up, it got halfway up! I was proud of how it performed.
Testing the Terios Taught That The Terios Traversed Terrifiying Terain...Terifically.
