1973 Datsun 120Y review from Australia and New Zealand
"Make way for Datsun!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New clutch.
New exhaust.
New starter motor.
All in 2007.
Some minor rust fixed in 2008 for WOF.
General comments?
Dato 120Y Coupe.
Runs AMAZINGLY! Has a lotta go for a wee 1200. Took on an '87 GT Corolla and had it by a nose!
Never fails to start even on the coldest mornings.
It's a car that you've gotta make sure the driver and car are legal because it looks a little conspicuous (a grey panel, racing exhaust and some chrome mags) and the cops tend to like it.
Best of all, it only costs $40NZ to fill a tank! Sick wee car. Love it to pieces!
