1983 Datsun 280ZX review from North America
"Legendary Z Car, excellent bargain and fast too"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced starter.
Replaced water pump.
General comments?
Very reliable car.
Fairly fast, turns many heads. It is a sharp looking car, but looks faster than it really is.
I have replaced a few items in the 4 years I have owned the car, but all items replaced are normal wear and tear for a car with 150 K miles on it.
Have raced the car a few times (Rally cross, Auto cross). Does well, but doesn't corner as well as an RX-7 (my older car), but it is faster off the line.
The car has many extra features, considering it is an 18 year old sports car (power locks, windows, mirrors, cruise, buckets, AC, talking dash, T-tops, FI OHC 6 cylinder, 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 wheel independent suspension, etc...)
