1986 Dodge Aries LE review from North America
"A no-nonsense, practical, sporty daily driver"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The head gasket blew at 146,000 miles.
Transmission went at 150,000.
Normal wear and tear for a 17 year old car, otherwise in excellent shape!
General comments?
Comfortable, practical and roomy!
The 2.5 engine is reasonably quick for this vintage of car, especially since it is rather light.
Very stylish car considering it's an inexpensive economy car from the 1980's!!!
Luckily my car has such amenities as power door locks, rear wiper, a/c, cruise control, tilt wheel, and roof rack.
The dodge Aries/plymouth reliant is easily modified with larger brakes, suspension and engines from sportier chrysler models like the daytona, because the chassis shares the same specifications.
