1996 Dodge Avenger ES review from North America
"It is a unique car for the unique person be a leader not a follower"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I haven't had any major problem's with this car then you would with any other car.
The battery died at 80,000 mile's
The timing belt is going out
The water pump is also going out
The engine was missfireing, but that was due too the previous owner's fault
Also the front passenger side strut is dead due to my friends poor mechanic abbillite's
90% of problems are under warranty so I pay nothing.
General comments?
This is a great car I get a lot of comments on it people love the look it has and it is not a played out car like the civic around town. By the way it is faster then the civic ;p.
It uses the same engine component's as the mitsubishi eclipse, so you can add lots of after market product's to the engine which is great.
For the people who have owned one that gives them a lot of problem's it is mostly there own fault or the previous owner's fault due to the lack of care and poor treatment.
I take very good care or my car and change parts before they even are supposed to be changed and in return I have a very reliable car. I even race it all the time.
