1996 Dodge Avenger ES review from North America
"A comfortable affordable sporty car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Within the first month of owning my Avenger the transmission blew which ruined the clutch costing $1,500 to fix and that was just for parts.
A fog light burnt out also for some reason.
Head gasket leaks, but does not effect the performance.
General comments?
Even though I have had to change the transmission and the clutch already on a vehicle with such low miles I love my car. It handles any curves I can dish out the this car. The engine has a nice whistle at about 5000 RPM (rotations per minuet) which makes the car sound like it has a turbo. Engine response is great and the car is extremely fast, 130 MPH and up, stock! The interior is very comfortable, I could sit and drive in this car all day long.
