1995 Dodge B2500 Conversion Van review from North America

Developed a pin-hole in the radiator at about 80,000 miles. Minor repair at radiator shop resolved it.

Transmission would get hot and not function when pulling a trailer in hot weather. Factory transmission cooler was not sufficient. Added auxiliary cooler and have not had any problems since. Have been pulling trailers in mountains of the West for several years, since, with no problems. Just now getting to the point where the brakes will need replacing.

This conversion van has been an outstanding vehicle. Am original owner and always ran synthetic oil in it. The big 5.9 L (360) Runs great and never failed us. Engine turns very low rpm at highway speeds due to overdrive automatic transmission. Hills and mountains no problem with this large engine.

Use this van for vacations multiple times a year. Most of the miles have been interstate and the only maintenance has been one battery and one set of tires. Have 116,000 miles at this point.

I am also very pleased with the millage. Due to the automatic overdrive, get up to 18 miles per gallon with just us and our luggage in the van. Drops down to about 10 or 12 when fully loaded and pulling a heavy trailer.

Van still looks and runs as good as when we bought it new 14 years ago.
