1999 Dodge Caravan review from North America
"Great van, good gas mileage"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing ever went wrong with the MiniVan. In fact, this one never even had any "funny" noises or squeaks in it.
General comments?
I really liked this Van. The 2.4L engine was surprisingly powerful for the size of vehicle. The three speed automatic made it sluggish in city driving though. Where this one shined was on the open road. Where I live, the prime passing area is a 1 mile up hill (6%) run. This little hummer would accelerate from 50 to 85 in second gear and toast almost any car that tried to catch me. The key to performance is the excellent ratio in second gear.
