1993 Dodge Caravan Base review from North America
"A real dependable workhorse"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only problem I have experienced with this vehicle is the cooling fan. The motor burned out and I had an extremely hard time locating a new one. I finally found one, but had to purchase the entire shroud, motor, and blades instead of just a motor. This, however, was just over $200.
General comments?
This vehicle is a wonderful machine.
It is a work van that my boss purchased used from AT&T and we have driven it hard. We haul ladders, wire, and components around all the time, sometimes accumulating quite a heavy load, and this vehicle still performs quite impressively. It still has enough power to accelerate up steep grades and feels like it has plenty more to spare.
The interior is very comfortable, and the controls are very user friendly. This van has been driven great distances and I have never felt really uncomfortable.
I do, however, dislike the glove compartment. Every time you open it, stuff comes sliding out at you. It can be a serious pain, especially if you have a lot of stuff in there.
