I have had to have the transmission rebuilt at 37,000 miles. The brakes and rotors have been replaced about 6-7 times. It goes though brakes continuously. I have had to replace the serpentine belt five times (very expensive. It has an oil leak. Head gasket needs replacement. The lights on the dash board the controls the heat and air conditioning have been flashing on and off on the dash board for over two years and now the the blower will not work (it only worked on high). The A/C does not work. They say it is the compressor. The inside trim on the doors (rubber gaskets) have come off three times. This car has truly been a nightmare. I have put several calls into Dodge and not one person has called me back. This Van has truly been a lemon from day one.
When the heat control lights started flashing was it when the battery was changed???That just might have been the problem. It has to be re calibrated. It is simple to do just by pressing the buttons in a sequence to clear the problem.
With the heater only working on high, that is caused by a faulty resistor. It is ocated under the glove box on the passnager side, it is gray in color, and it held on by a 10mm bolt from the bottom.
Very easy to replace.
I have been reading all these posts, it bothers me much that many if not all these problems are rather basic in nature. Fan belt breaks from wearing take up pully, Wipers intermitant from cold solder joints on main module, PCB Outside of the transmission, it clearly state the factory reps are not backed up by the manufacturer. Some connector call a clock spring to confuse in the steering knock out horn and Cruise control, Sad common loss of sale (s) - factory training of tech's on what is a fine product.
The speakers don't burn out the PC board circuit boards do just as they have in Chrysler product since lean burn. in 197? Hello please use better PC Boards.
