1990 Dodge Colt 200E review from North America
"One huge lemon, possibly the world's worst made car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well, where to start?
First was the brakes. Front and rear replaced. $600.
Then very closely after that the engine computer and the fuel pump went at the very same time. $1600.
Shortly after that, the timing belt went and stranded me on the side of a highway on my way to work. $350.
Finally the car's death after the rear main oil seal decided to give out and spew oil all over the #1 freeway. The seal was going to be $1000, and after how long the car ran before I could pull it over, who knows how much longer it would have run?
General comments?
If I hadn't obtained this car for free, I would have pushed it into the river quite a while ago. Should have known better than to stray from the general (General Motors, never had a Chevy that didn't agree with me)
Don't ever buy one of these cars.
