When I purchased the car it had a warped head, so I had to replace the engine. I found out that a used engine is cheaper than a re-manufactured head.
I also need to replace my drive axles, and the drivers' seat back is real weak.
At around 149000 miles, the upper radiator hose started to swell and needed to be replaced.
I bought the Colt so I could deliver news papers. I found out that I had made a good choice.
I am very happy with the 42 miles per gallon that I get on the highway.
The Dodge Colt is extremely easy to work on. It only took me about 5 hours to do a complete engine swap, including a new clutch.
In 2 years, I have driven 53000 miles.
I also own of a Dodge Colt 200E. It always has been a easy car to repair. It's not a car for great traveling or for a big family. It's very much at ease in city driving and everyday shopping.
If Mitsubishi come back to North America with its new Colt 200, it will be a success.
