1989 Dodge Colt DX review from North America
"Stick with Toyota!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The front seal blew at 75,500 miles.
The Rockerarm Shaft broke in half at 76,000 miles.
The Trunk latch tumbler stripped at 76,500 and I could not open the trunk again.
This car burned a quart of oil every two days. The rings were going bad after
only 74,000 miles. It smoked really bad also.
The rear seal blew after 83,000 miles.
The windows leaked when it rained.
The air conditioner and fans did not work.
The Transmission was slipping.
This car had very bad pick-up in highway driving.
General comments?
This car, a Mitsubishi engine in a Dodge body, was the worst car I ever had.
When this car blew the second engine seal in 5 months, I called the junkyard and they towed it away for $20.
I am just glad this car was given to me for free and I did not pay for this piece of crap.
