What things have gone wrong with the car?
LF tie-rod end failed suddenly (while 35MPH)...scary. Repaired myself and then had it alligned.
Carburetor simply wore out... butterfly got all loosey-goosey.
Tranny went at 170,000. I *work* this truck. $250 used tranny took me 12 hours to replace (never did one before). Running great.
Differential seal failed.
Radiator + water pump replaced.
Fuel pump replaced.
General comments?
This is just a big ole' work truck. No frills. A few thrills. I love climbing up a huge hill with a ton of gravel in my 3/4 ton truck. Ask it to go... and it does.
I pulled 12 12' long barn beams on a trailer AND had 6 posts in back. Without a sway bar/weight-dist it was a bit scary if I tried to go over 45.
Truck is very hard to start in cold. But always does...eventually.
