1987 Dodge D50 review from North America
"I love this truck!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Steering bushings rotted and were replaced.
Both shocks blew twice.
Rear view mirror is IMPOSSIBLE to put back on.
General comments?
Extremely durable, tough, strong, and great on gas. Great for offroading, even rear wheel drive! It takes a beating.
My D50 was rear wheel drive, long bed, single cab. It went through a full winter on bald tires. I wrecked 4 times, but NEVER did damage.
I've pulled almost 2 tons with this truck, and somehow the little 4 cylinder engine got me up to 55 m.p.h. The front tires barely touched so I couldn't really steer. I don't suggest trying it, not a good idea.
Excellent truck. If you see one cheap, get it!
