2004 Dodge Dakota SXT review from North America
"Great family hauler inside that will hold Dads toys outside"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Headlight Switch failed at 16,000 miles.
Interior Blower motor had a "resistor" go at about 25,000 miles or so.
Controls for the defrost and heating settings stopped working, air would only vent to floor.
Controls stopped again soon after dealer repair, dash was removed and all the sealing foams were replaced, and the entire control panel, and dampener assembly also.
Center console cover latch broke, dealer fixed.
General comments?
Even though it's a quad cab truck, this truck with the 4.7 really moves out.
But, get on it a bit and drop $70.00 worth of liquid gold fast, she's real thirsty.
Interior for a 2004 is dated for sure but it does do it's job.
Electrical problems have been my issue so far, now that my 3/36000 is over I'm real scared.
Mechanically the truck has been great so far, I have no complaints with the powertrain.
With the four wheel disc brakes this trucks stops on a dime.
