1998 Dodge Dakota Sport review from North America
"It's made in the USA"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine knocks when I first got it.
Transmission would not go to 4X4 low gears.
The transmission seals cracked at 37000 miles.
Have to repaint the front bumper every year.
#3 sparkplug wire shorted out.
General comments?
Most of the time it's on black top highway which it gets a 10 for ride.
It does very well in the woods.
On those concrete highways, it wants to beat you up.
Haven't been happy with Dodge dealers at all. If you didn't buy it from them, they don't want to service it.
Also one dealer wanted to charge me 65.00 to reset the computer after the spark plug wire shorted out. I just treated the truck like my laptop and disconnected the battery, then waited a minute before hooking it back up. That resets your computer. LOL.
