1993 Dodge Dakota LE review from North America
"Will trade in for a Toyota"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Shortly after purchase gas gauge became erratic.
Fog light system failed.
Factory intalled stereo failed.
Front brakes wear at a high rate, after 5,000 miles they cause vibration due to uneven wear.
At 90,000mi. the engine ignition system failed which required three trips to the dealer to repair.
General comments?
I bought this vehicle because I liked the size (not big, not small) but the quality is not up to par with Toyota.
Customer survice is terrible, when I had an ignition problem the mechanics were totally lost. I finally gave up on Dodge mechanics and fixed the vehicle myself.
Parts support is terrible, many electrical connectors and components are no longer available unlike competetors.
