1985 Dodge Daytona Turbo review from North America
"An affordable turbocharged street fighter"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing yet.
The clutch and clutch cable are getting worn out that is about the only major problems.
Also has a slight overheating problem when sitting idling for a period of time.
General comments?
This car hauls ass and handles as if it is a race car not a street car.
The interior is well designed with a very informative instrument cluster and boost gauge.
Like the previous 1991 Daytona ES I reviewed it has very firm and sporty handling and about the only thing I can think of to make it any better would be auto cross springs and a strut tower brace.
It helps that this car is a lightweight Turbo and not a heavily optioned out Turbo Z. Both cars do their job very well, but for dealing with the Honda kids and their toy cars the Turbo does the job with ease.
