What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced the power steering pump and rack and pinion at 245k.
Other than that, the only things I have done are general maintenance items, brakes, tune ups,...
General comments?
For a four cylinder, this car is VERY fast, I like beating up on the 5.0 Mustang boys.
I am the second owner of the car and have all repair records from the original owner. I also have the build sheet on the car. It was a dealer orderd option car, this means it has every option available for this model year, including t-tops.
It rolled out of the factory in Oct.87 a plain jane daytona. From there it went to an alteration facility where it underwent some changes, 15"alloy wheels, four wheel disc brakes, leather interior, turbo 2 engine, Getrag A555 heavy duty trans axle and a steering and suspension package.
This car is very good in both straight line acceleration and windy mountain roads.
