1985 Dodge Daytona CS review from North America
"Quick, but not worth the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tranny Blew 22 Hours After Purchase.
Turbo had problems with the waste gate and gave random ammounts of boost
Seats worn out lumbar no longer worked
speakers were problematic
4 head gaskets
turbo eventually cooked do to poorly designed oiling system...
Fan control swtich problems
an eventual cooking of the computer which in-turn filled the car with smoke
poor water drainage
a poorly designed hood scoop channelled water and snow directly onto the turbo causing steam to rise from the louvers and made the car look like a steam engine...
Hard winter starting
fuel delivery problems cracked fuel rail and weak fuel pump
after transmission swap to an automatic got brutal fuel economy.
General comments?
Car was incredibly fast... Used to be faster than my 1982 Camaro Z28 with cross fire injection seats were comforatable looked good... handled OK... sensitive steering tho.
