a poorly designed hood scoop channelled water and snow directly onto the turbo causing steam to rise from the louvers and made the car look like a steam engine...
Hard winter starting
fuel delivery problems cracked fuel rail and weak fuel pump
after transmission swap to an automatic got brutal fuel economy.
Car was incredibly fast... Used to be faster than my 1982 Camaro Z28 with cross fire injection seats were comforatable looked good... handled OK... sensitive steering tho.

The steam you saw coming from the hood "scoop"? Yeah, that's not a scoop. its there so that the heat from the turbo has somewhere to go and won't heat the engine...
