2004 Dodge Durango SLT review from Philippines
"A gas guzzler for a good reason"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Speaking of what's inside the hood and its performance, the car has no major issues.
It's just hard to park this car in parking lots of shopping malls, or bring it to narrow streets, so we take our other car.
Another thing is that it is a gas guzzler, but it is worth it, but our next SUV will be a smaller one, probably a Toyota Fortuner.
General comments?
At first we wanted the all new Pajero, but after hearing that Mitsubishi was being plagued with quality issues, we looked for other alternatives like the Ford Expedition.
Later on our auntie (she managed the distributor of Chrysler in the Philippines then) recommended us a Durango. So she came to our house and picked us up to test drive this car. We liked it, and a week later we purchased our Durango.
It's a very fast car, and we only took it to Baguio once, and it was much much better than our old 1994 Nissan Pathfinder.
Now we seldom use it, but always on out of town trips.
There is no more Durango in the market today, so we won't replace it with another American SUV anymore, but this still remains the best SUV we ever had.
