2000 Dodge Durango SLT review from North America
"Powerfully comfortable with a little trouble with 4 wheel drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Overall the Dodge Durango is a very nice vehicle, we have owned for a little more than a year without to much hassle, or troubles.
A couple weeks ago the four wheel drive started making noise.
It seems to be stuck in four wheel drive. last friday they told us we had a bad joint on the front drve shaft.
Well we didn't get it fixed at the dealer, but on the way home the shaft came apart at 80 miles an hour.
The transfer case litterally exploded,
going down the highway. we were lucky no one got hurt.
PLEASE if you hear noise in the front drive, have it fixed. the transfer case repair is going to cost $1400
plus the cost of the drive shaft.
General comments?
So far other than thatits been good to us.
