Over all I am very pleased with our Durango. I pull my boat with it it's a 20' boat. it has wonderful power for the smallest of the engines. ont thing I'm noticing is a whitish milky looking flood in the oil cap. I have my oil changed every 3000 and tires balanced and rotated at the same time. with all the horror stories I'm beginning to worry about my motor. my mechanic tells me I should add a quart of transmission flood to my oil and drive it a few days just before my scheduled oil change.. He says it will clean the inners of my motor.
The white milky film under your oil cap is just condensation from the motor. It is only in the oil cap. All chrysler vehicles does that, and its nothing to worry about. But don't put transmission fluid in your oil that's a no..no...
I don't like the styling on the newer Durangos either, they look like an armadillo on wheels.
Transmission fluid in the engine cleans the engine... that is if you do it properly AKA putting a quart in. And then drain it after like 100 or so miles and then re-fill with normal oil. It's basically just an engine flush.
