1999 Dodge Durango SLT review from North America
"Will never buy another"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine ping and loss of performance. Had bad intake manifold gasket, and oil leakage around valve covers. $600 fix.
Then transmission overdrive wouldn't work. $400 fix.
Water pump failure. $100 fix.
RH Tie rod end, and RH upr & lrw ball joints, Front calipers, rotors, pads, 4 shocks, 4 tires due to cupping. $1800 fix.
Engine light on again and cutting out when cold. Haven't had this checked as of yet.
General comments?
Very good looking, but bad mileage.
The tires are very noisy and cupping. Had to replace at 50%tred.
Lost of wind noise.
Rear leaf springs have axle warp.
I shouldn't have to put in $3000 to a car in just 2 years.
